Exclusive interview with Hip-Hop singer Jahpeto that appeared on Gosh!Radio Feb 4th, 2012
By Gabrielle Pantera
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!Radio) 2012/2/4 – “My music is ear-catching, authentically written, and delivered for those who are seeking a message, and those who are seeking an escape,” says Hip-Hop artist Jahpeto. “My music can be described as the echoed voice of every middle to lower class person in this world that’s trying to improve their situation. At the same time, my music is an aid to help one cope with the frustrations, and relish in the success of life’s journey.”
Jappeto’s Musical Message
“I come from the middle of the classless, humbled, stay-in-your-place point of view,” says Jahpeto. “But at the same time, hustlers, and pimps, drug dealers, and trendsetters had a hand in raising me after I left home. So, I take what this world refuses to give me. I am to live at the edge of my own existence, in suspense, held not by that of the string, but by that untrained hands of the next to come, by the hands of my own daughter. I have not yet died because I owe them more. I owe them a better example.”
“I speak nothing more than both sides of the street and the pulpit,” says Jahpeto. “I’ve been a wolf roaming through the back alleyways just to get a glimpse of how real my existence is, and will be. I rap about limbo, being in suspense, or, existing in a bit of a purgatory. A generation can be built and immortalized by how effective their voice is. History is made through speech. Stories preserve culture. My message is simply the voice of a culture that has no place, so in essence, we are sojourners who will make their place.” Jahpeto writes all his lyrics.

Jahpeto’s next album is called No Strings. He is signed with Winogradsky/Sobel Music Licensing Company. His music is available in the USA and Japan.
