HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!Radio) 11/2/2011 – “My music is of the streets, the sounds of true hip-hop,” says musical artist Jay White. “My music derives from a little of the 70s and the suffrage movement that was evolving into the new sounds of expressions of the streets.”
White’s style is inspired Tupac and other artists “It has a soulful and intellectual message,” says White. “I write my own lyrics. My approach it is to first meditate, so that I can feel it through my soul. I play a little piano and guitar. It helps me to stay in tune and in accord with the music.”
White has performed in Santa Monica at the Pier in front of an audience of thousands. He says his favorite producers and songwriters are Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. White lives in the Los Angeles area. He was born in North Philly and continues to be a big fan of the Eagles football team.
