HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!Radio) 2011/10/8 – Long before he became the CEO and executive producer of Pearl Records Group, Kris Lamans was a tenor singing with the Platters, a vocal group that defined the early Rock-n-Roll era.

Current Pearl Records artists include Kris Lamans, Theresa Bruneau, Lisa Rine and Sonja Dunson. Pearl Records has distribution through Universal Music Group and GlendaStrong and Paris Landing Publishing Company (BMI). Pearl Records provides music in the genres of R&B, hip hop, jazz, urban and country.

Lamans began his entertainment career as a news co-anchor at ABC-TV station KMBT in Beaumont, Texas. He joined the World Famous Platters as a tenor and performed under the name Talmadge Armstrong. He was signed to RCA. Lamans was produced on two albums by Harvey Fuqua, lead singer of the Moonglows. As a songwriter, Lamans and co-writer Karen Welch wrote 250 songs for RCA’s publishing division Rutri and Dunbar Music. Lamans was born in the cotton town of Mer Rouge in Northeast Louisiana and is a graduate of Grambling University and Lamar University.

The show premiered in June of 2011. The 1-hour weekly music talk show Meet the Music is hosted by Gabrielle Pantera who interviews bands, singers, musicians, composers, songwriters, and music executives. Show co-hosts vary. Sound engineer David Williams. Producer Robin Rowe. Executive Producer Gabrielle Pantera. The show broadcasts live from Melrose Music Studios at Raleigh Studios Hollywood. Raleigh Studios is a historic studio lot where TV shows such as Castle, Closer and Private Practice are currently in production.
