Hollywood, CA (Gosh!Radio) 2011/6/10 – In Russian, Mir Wave means “peace” or “world we live in.” Although considered an adult contemporary artist, Wave says he’s tending more toward world pop. “I look at it as more of world pop because it integrates a lot of different genres.” He trained as a classical musician.
“I like to listen to a lot of different styles of music, obviously,” says Wave. “Some of my favorite artists are Seal, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, for their lyrical content. I like Sade and Alicia Keys. Matter fact I’ve worked with Alicia keys vocal coach.”
“My friend’s step dad took me to the studio and I just went crazy,” says Wave. “Over all the synthesizers and the equipment, it was really really exciting and I thought this is what I want to do. That was the breaking point for me.”
